David Archuleta Sings in Christmas Concert in Chile

Elder David Archuleta, one of the more well-known missionaries for the Church, sang in the recent Santiago Chile Temple Christmas Concert. Elder Archuleta, a formerAmerican Idol contestant from Utah, performed four songs in Spanish during the performance that was broadcast live on LDS.org, including “O Holy Night,” “Mary, Did You Know?” “Little Drummer Boy,” and an a cappella version of “Los Pastores A Belén.”

Elder Jorge F. Zeballos of the Seventy was in attendance and shared a Christmas message with the audience in Santiago.

Elder Archuleta has been able to share his talents several times while serving a two-year mission to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in Chile. While at the missionary training center in Provo, Utah, he participated in a choir that performed during a general session of general conference in April 2012. Elder Archuleta also sang during last year’s Christmas concert, Concierto de Navidad, in Santiago. He will return from his mission in the spring.
