Elder Allen D. Haynie

Elder Allen D. Haynie was sustained a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 4, 2015, at age 56. At the time of his call he had been serving as a member of the Fifth Quorum of the Seventy in the North America West Area.

 

Elder Haynie received a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1982 and a juris doctorate in law in 1985, both from Brigham Young University. He practiced law for 25 years with an international law firm before beginning his own firm.

Elder Haynie has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Argentina Cordoba Mission, elders quorum president, Young Men president, seminary teacher, high councilor, bishop, and stake president.

Allen Decker Haynie was born in Logan, Utah, on August 29, 1958. He married Deborah Ruth Hall in 1983. They are the parents of six children and grandparents of eight grandchildren.
